They say the heartbeat of a home is the kitchen, and here at Amara Longueville we like to think the same. The day is built around the table, whether that is a morning coffee, a long lunch with friends, or a quiet dinner as the afternoon slows. It is the perfect place to enjoy quiet time on your own or a meal with the people you love.
Best of all, we can do the cooking for you. “The kitchen is the heart of any home, so it has to feel that way every day,” says our Executive Chef, Sassy. “Our residents live here, they are not just popping in once, so we cook the way you would at home, only you do not have to lift a finger.”
Sempré is our all day dining cafe and bar, the social heart of the building. There is coffee and baking made on site each morning, easy lunches through the day, and a relaxed neighbourhood bar as the afternoon turns. Arva is the restaurant, a warmer room for lunch and dinner where seasonal produce is cooked with care and dishes are made to share.
“Some days you just want a coffee and the paper to yourself,” says Restaurant Manager Roy. “Other days you want a big table full of friends. We have set both spaces up to do either, no fuss.” And when the friends are yours, entertaining is made simple. “Bring your guests and let us handle the rest,” Roy adds. “You get to be the host without doing the dishes.”
Both kitchens work the same way. Fresh produce first, made from scratch, and built for everyday living. “We bake our own bread, make our own sauces, roll our own pasta,” Sassy says. “It takes longer, but you can taste it, and that is the whole point.” Come in for ten minutes or settle in for the evening. Either way, you are looked after.
